Martine Myrup


Martine Myrup studied sculpture at Glasgow School of Art. Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Myrup now works mainly in textiles creating both sculptures and functional one off items. Elusive Owl / Myrup textile products and projects are made exclusively from second-hand fabric, found, donated or bought from charity shops.







The two wallpaper designs created for the inn were originally made from cut out shapes in coloured paper and assembled and pasted onto a wall allowing room for variations in the repeats. The designs mirror the shapes and colours found in the flora on Fogo Island and was executed on the island during the fall and winter months.
